Equipment Operator - Ottawa, Canada - Jeff Deschambault Mechanical

Description

Jeff Deschambault Mechanical is looking for experienced operators to plow the City of Ottawa's sidewalks. Our operators will be driving our Holder tractors


Job Duties:

• Respond promptly to calls for snow and ice events
• Clear snow and ice accumulations from designated areas using provided equipment
• Pile snow in designated and approved locations only
• Be available for communication at all times
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Complete daily logs and time sheets
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A Class G licence with a good driving record
• Ability to read and interpret maps
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to respond to the work site within a reasonable response time is required
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
• Experience with relevant equipment such loaders, tractors & sidewalk plows
• Must be vaccinated

Work Conditions:

• Various locations including both residential and commercial sites
• Extremely flexible working hours, including nights, weekend, and holiday work
• Work safely near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis

Pay Rates:

Sidewalks:$25 to 30$/h
