    APC-CUPE Local 500

    $15.73 per hour

    Full-time, nine (9) month term (April 2024 to December 2024)

    40 hours per week, shifts are scheduled a various times, weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays. Shift schedules will be based on operational need.

    The Opportunity


    We are seeking one (1) Term General Labourer in Grounds whose primary responsibilities include but are not limited to working with some power equipment and hand tools associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities.

    Assisting the Equipment Operators with turf care as directed, turf maintenance, weed control, rake leaves, sweep sidewalks and pathways. Picking up garbage and debris throughout the park. Snow removal from roads, sidewalks, parking lots and other areas as directed. Sanding, and other winter related duties. Provide assistance and support for all APC events as required.

    Qualifications Required

    A high school diploma and/or GED equivalent.
    Must possess a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License.
    Basic technology and computer skills.
    A minimum of 2 years performing general labour and operational experience.
    Previous experience working in teams and dealing with both internal and external customers.
    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    Candidates must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position (documentation of physical capacity may be required).
