Section Chief - Thermodynamics, Product Development
Bombardier is a global leader, creating innovative and game-changing planes.
You will be part of the Functional Engineering, Mechanical Systems team that supports the diverse Bombardier aircraft portfolio and take advantage of opportunities to improve upon them to ensure product competitiveness and an amazing Customer experience.
Lead the Thermodynamics team responsible for engineering support and analysis to product development, missionized programs, tool development, In-service aircraft and Final Line/ Production.
Provide technical leadership and direction to support the resolution of highly integrated, complex technical issues and analyses.
Provide expert support to other business units as required (audits, document review, design reviews, supplier's document review and approval, provide estimates of new or modified conceptual design).
Using the AES system, establish master plans, develop metrics and institute team governance to provide accurate and relevant reporting of team performance.
Ensure adequate engineering resources are allocated to support other Business Units as well as Strategic Technology projects, as per budget and schedule.
Create/ enable a positive and collaborative team environment and take concrete steps/actions to keep high level of engagement within the team.
Complete performance reviews, identify performance gaps and create effective team development, mentoring and coaching plans.You hold a Bachelor's of Engineering Degree and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration.
You have experience in providing thermodynamic engineering support and analysis to Product Development, Missionized programs, Tool development, In-service aircraft and Final Line/ Production.
You have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and technical expertise (design, development, tool development) and people management and developmentYou are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools
You have excellent problem-solving skills, work planning structure and prioritization.
