The Head of Finance for Siemens Energy Transformers Canada Inc.isresponsible for the efficient and effective financial steering and control ofall commercial activities in the factory located in Trois Rivieres, Quebec.

TheFinancial Head will be responsible for leading the Business in a sustainablemanner aligned with the global objectives and their achievement, consistent useof steering actions to maximize performance, especially profitability.

Thisrole will report directly to the Head of Finance, Transformers Americascluster's and partner with the General Manager of the facility.


How You'll Make anImpact

  • This key position provides transparent and complete performancecontrolling and oversees the commercial topics in the factory by identifyingrisks and opportunities and defining and implementing appropriate measures tooptimize business results.
  • Contract Management / Contract Structuring for internal and externalbusiness (Contract Analysis, clarifications, deviations, tax analysis, riskevaluation, insurance concepts).
  • Periodic gap/deviation analysis reports need to be prepared includinginterpretation, development, and controlling of corresponding correctivemeasures.
  • Business plan and yearly Budget calculation. Responsible for thefinancial forecast and reporting of the business results.
  • Participation in commercial negotiations with customers
  • May perform assessments of assets and liabilities and manages inventorymeasures on a regular basis.
  • Investment Plan: Performs comparisons Actual vs. Plan and pursueseffects of agreed measures.
  • Offer and bid calculations: Responsibility for the commercialcorrectness, and support process of project execution to Marketing team.
  • Hire, train and retain skilled finance employees

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance, CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years' relevant experience in product/manufacturing or similarenvironment
  • Experience in Transmission/Distribution Business or similar industriesin energy industry preferred
  • Experience in Contract negotiations and strong Presentation Skills
  • Prior experience in strategic planning and success in a team environment
  • Proven leadership/team management skills with the ability to optimizeprocesses, finance performance and product development.
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office
  • Detail oriented and willing to dig with your team to get the inforequired
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Enthusiasm, assertiveness and proactiveness are desirable. A willingnessand attitude to transfer knowledge is necessary.
  • Very good knowledge of French and English both written and spoken
