SALARY:
From $64.00 to $79.00 per hour. Will commensurate with skills and experience

CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a casual Psychologist.


The KIND study aims to examine the brain development and brain function of children 6-12 years old whose mothers took antiretroviral medications during pregnancy, as well as children who were not exposed to these medications.

The psychologist will assist the KIND study team by reviewing the results of a neurodevelopmental test battery being done as part of the KIND study at CHEO.

The psychologist will be asked to work with the study team administering the test battery to be able to interpret the results and sign off on a letter to participant's parents reporting the test results, and providing if required, recommendations, resources, or subsequent clinical referral based on test results.

This would be a casual position, and hours will depend on the number of participants in the study.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general supervision of Dr.

Brophy, within the Division of Infectious Diseases, Immunology and Allergy, and Toronto-based psychologists on the KIND study team the psychologist will:


  • Supervise study staff administering the neurodevelopmental test battery,
  • Review neurodevelopmental test battery results,
  • Interpret neurodevelopmental test battery results,
  • Sign off on reports to verify the results of testing,
  • Provide results to parents and participants of the study,
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND ABILITIES

  • College or University undergraduate degree in a healthrelated field (Essential)
  • Licensed Psychologist in Ontario (Essential)
  • Data management experience (Essential)
  • Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office) (Essential)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and
organizational skills (Essential)

  • Demonstrated collegiality, professionalism and team skills (Essential)
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to work independently (Essential)
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset (preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Flexibility to work remotely in a hybrid work model that would include both remote work and onsite work as needed.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligible to work in Canada;
  • Compliance with CHEO RI's Universal COVID19 Vaccination Policy; and
  • Police Record Check.
