IT Supplier Relations Lead

What We Need


We have an opportunity for a IT Supplier Relations Lead to play a critical part in a unique industry at our rapidly growing organization.


Are you:

  • Highly professional, able to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously?
  • A business partner mindset, able to establish and grow relationships with key Business stakeholders?
  • A strong vendor negotiator with exposure to highdollar value IT sourcing events (i.e., hardware, software, licenses, etc.)?
  • Excellent in written and presentation skills, with experience in confidently presenting recommendations and implications to senior leadership?


As the IT Supplier Relations Lead, you are responsible for effectively executing contracts, delivering best-in-class negotiated pricing, providing thought leadership on technology investments in partnership with senior IT and business stakeholders, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and establishing and maintaining budget compliancy for all IT Hardware, SaaS, support/maintenance, and software-related investments.

A Day in the Life

  • Identify savings opportunities through the negotiation and executing new contracts and renewals
  • Perform RFXs and required market research to aid in making informed decisions on current and future investments
  • Maintenance of contract documents and budget tracking
  • Assisting IT managers in determining supplier strategies aligning with business and technology roadmaps
  • Manage supplier relationships, perform routine reviews, dispute resolution and SLA escalations
  • Consult and provide guidance and expertise to the broader Element stakeholder community on certain business owned SaaS/Software
  • Responsible for managing $30M+ annual spend covering a wide variety of technology platforms and services

Requirements:


  • Extensive experience, minimum 5 years as an experienced IT Vendor or Procurement Manager
  • Postsecondary education in a business or technology management discipline or related field (Bachelor's degree minimum)
  • Experience in technology Procurement/Vendor process/systems design and implementation, vendor relationship and risk management
  • Experience with technology Supplier Risk Management and Spend Governance (i.e., cost savings)
  • Experience with Contract Governance and exposure to Legal work, either in a Legal or Corporate environment, where technical review and/or authoring of contracts (i.e., Software as a Service Agreements) and understanding of Legal implications
  • Experience with leading interactions between vendor and client groups for Quarterly Business Reviews at Clevel and Executivelevel
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
