As an Information Security Officer (ISO), you support and collaborate with the Business Information Security Officer (BISO), who represents the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the Bank's business lines.


You will develop a relationship built on trust with one business sector in the Bank, in order to quickly position yourself as a preferred contributor to ensure that the sectors' business objectives are met.

Your daily tasks will include aligning cybersecurity risk management with business priorities and IT delivery needs in order to anticipate obstacles and help reach the Bank's business objectives.


This position is key to the sector's transformation, including new work practices (agility), various initiatives of all scales, and encouraging support.


Your role:


  • Support the assessment and understanding of the security risk posture of all projects/initiatives assigned to your business line
  • Raise awareness and explain security messages to the IT delivery tower and the business line
  • Protect information assets by identifying and prioritizing information security risks in your business sector and by providing the appropriate security requirements for mitigating risks
  • Coordinate/manage a matrixed team of senior security advisors
  • Help the delivery tower and business line to prioritize security activities for security essentials and track their progress to ensure that the security objectives for the year are met.
  • Represent the business sector on cybersecurity issues for the delivery tower and the CISO team
  • Inspire a positive work environment and be a champion and innovator of teamwork and team support
  • Be a trusted cyber partner to achieve the business sector's objectives
  • Provide tactical and strategic direction and guidance to achieve acceptable security postures

Competencies required:


  • Completed Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience
  • Experience in information security
  • Motivated to learn new things
  • Able to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and able to convey information in simple terms, both in writing and verbally
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required as you will be dealing with partners across Canada on a regular basis.

Preferred competencies

  • Experience in personnel management or as a team lead
