How You'll Help
- Followup on recruitment leads provided by different sources, in efforts to scrub applicants based on the screening process
- Screening and interviewing prospective drivers/brokers and attending recruitment events e.g. terminal job fairs, industry truck shows
- Provides postevent reports, analysis, and regular status reports on recruiting
- Prepare draft reports, background documentation, and research, as needed
- Conduct road tests for new hires
- Monitor elogs and make sure drivers are compliant with US and CA Regulations; follow up on any outstanding discrepancies
- Provide training for Elogs, load securement, and pretrip inspections, etc.
- Maintain all equipment files (trucks, Trailers, Chassis, and yard equipment)
- Collision / Incident Investigation.
- Making sure drivers are accurately completing accident/incident reports when required.
- Scheduling safety meetings/training when required with drivers.
- Health and Safety knowledge and train employees.
- Monitor company rating CVOR, USDOT and FMCSA monthly
- Provide CVOR and DOT Audit Training to coworkers.
- Processing and maintaining CTPAT
- Complete and send WSIB questionnaires for brokers and maintain a record of certificates and clearance letters
- Prepare paperwork for NY and IFTA tax filing
- Maintain MTO and DOT inspection reports and perform repairs etc. if needed.
- Processing, maintaining, ordering, distributing, tracking, and renewing, US DOT, IRP Licencing, IFTA, DTOPS, EZ-Pass, NY-HUT, MC150 and fuel cards etc.
- Checking driver's licenses with M.T.O. on regular basis and audit driver's CVOR reports.
- Oversee claims reporting, legal matters, mitigate claims costs
- Conduct and/or assist with accident/collision and incident investigation
- Provide Dangerous Goods Training and issue certificates to drivers
- Manage and maintain all driver and equipment files; ensuring all documents are up to date
- Schedule maintenance for equipment
- 5 years experience in safety and compliance in the transportation industry
- Communicator with excellent teaching/coaching skills
- Assertiveness, confidence, enthusiasm, and exceptional work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and in teams including drivers and upper management
- Supervisory/management experience required
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills

$60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
