Job Description:


  • Inspecting Medical Device products according to quality and safety standards.
  • Reading, interpreting and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Use calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices to assess and determine quality of parts.
  • Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
  • Reporting quality anomalies to the QC Manager.
  • Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
  • Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
  • Assisting in the troubleshoot of returned complaint samples and updating complaint documentation when necessary and as assigned by the supervisor
  • Lead/assist in performing customer complaint investigations to determine root cause and appropriate CAPA when assigned by the QC Manager.
  • Escalate any new, unknown risk on defects/discrepancies further evaluation and decisions
  • Work with multidisciplinary and crossfunctional teams to ensure the timely completion and closure of nonconforming products/discrepancies.
  • Issue the corresponding NCR when deviations are reported
  • Uphold Quality standards as set by the company and ISO 13485:2016/MDSAP
  • Maintain a Quality Assurance log of testing results

Educational Background/Experience:

  • Technical certificate in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Biomechanical, etc.) or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Quality Technician
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 is a must.
  • Educational background in Quality Assurance desirable.
  • Experience in participating in internal audits.
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Ability to work alone with mínimal supervision.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communicational skills
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • Extreme accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
