Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking
Communications Lead, reporting to the Boeing's International Communications Manager, working out of the
Ottawa, ON office.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Strengthen Boeing's reputation and engagement with Canada stakeholders including media, customers, suppliers, government and industry leaders, media, and employees.
  • Develop and execute communications plans and branding strategies to support the Boeing enterprise and country strategy in Canada
  • Support the business objectives of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Boeing Defense Space and Security and Boeing Global Services
  • Weave Boeing into the commercial, political, industrial narrative in Canada.
  • Proactively tell Boeing's story with Canada and address emerging issues.
  • Help Boeing secure speaking engagements in relevant public fora.
  • Create on and offline content leveraging technology tools to plan, execute, analyze, and measure communications campaigns.
  • Represent the company with media, customers, partners, government organizations, industry associations, think tanks, and opinion leaders
  • Coordinate with Boeing Communications and other internal stakeholder teams in the US and internationally to ensure alignment.
  • Design and support effective communications to engage, connect and align employees in Canada with company values, culture, business objectives and priorities.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 7+ years of experience in communications including corporate communications, industry associations or other relevant players
  • Exceptional media relations skills with crisis and issues management experience
  • Good knowledge of social and digital media platforms and analytics tools
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US exportcontrolled data
  • Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defenserelated programs
  • Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
  • Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


  • Active Secret Level II security clearance
  • Project Management experience in partnership with internal and external business partners, including stakeholders in different cultures
  • International experience and strong intercultural understanding
  • Experience in moderating events and general public speaking
  • Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Creativity and proactivity
  • Proven ability to work effectively with media, political networks, industry and business associations, strategic partners and customers
  • Indepth knowledge of Canadian media, the international business environment and U.S.Canada relations

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Additional Information:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government.
