About Us:
At Sunshine Speech Therapy,we pride ourselves on providing personalized, high-quality speech and language therapy to individuals ages 1-18. Our clinic is in the heart of Burlington and has been serving the Halton and Hamilton areas since 2013.
We provide a wide range of speech and language services for autism, late talking, articulation, language, social communication, motor speech, fluency, and literacy.
We are looking for a motivated Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our dynamic team. Sunshine Speech currently have 5 Speech-Language Pathologists on the team who work with CDAs.Sunshine Speech will match you with clients that fit your schedule and clinical skills, while providing a supportive team environment to help adapt your work to life harmony.
Responsibilities:
- Provide fun and stimulating therapy activities that target speech and language goals based on the child's interests and abilities.
- Supporting the recommendations and goals made by supervising SLP regarding speech and language programming, accommodations, resources, and modifications for children and their families.
- Regular documenting and tracking of client progress
- Actively engaging children and caregivers to address communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Registration with CDAAC; Certificate from a recognized college from a Communicative Disorders Assistant Program
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster meaningful connections with clients and their families.
- Previous experience in a clinical or private practice setting is an asset.
- Experience working with the paediatric population is an asset, including children with various exceptionalities (e.g., Autism)
- The successful applicant will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
