Summary of Position:

The Parts Advisor contributes to the operational efficiency of the Parts Department by providing prompt, accurate information and assistance to internal, retail, and wholesale customers.

The Parts Advisor will also actively promote the sale of parts and accessories and ensure a consistent flow of parts to our customers.

This includes, but is not limited to, the following:


Accountabilities & Responsibilities:


  • Accept payment online and instore; provide a summary of the order and terms of sale
  • Review and prepare parts required for service appointments and instore pickup
  • Communicate method of shipping, estimated time of arrival, and order delays
  • Proactively review SORs and update order details
  • Examine returned items for a refund, exchange, and warranty; record data into DMS and other recordingkeeping systems
  • Procure supplies for internal clients
  • Effectively complete assigned tasks, organize workload, and complete role certification training and requirements
  • Fulfill different parts advisor roles and duties
  • Maintain an organized workstation and participate in the housekeeping tasks
  • Other related duties as assigned by management

Required Skills and Specifications:


  • Minimum 2 years as a Parts Advisor
  • Automotive postsecondary education is an asset
  • Knowledge related to automotive spare parts, accessory sales, vehicle repairs, inventory, and client account management
  • Selfmotivated, team player, highlevel attention to detail and problem solving, and can exceed customer expectation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions
  • Experience with Reynolds Ignite and Microsoft Office
  • Driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Able to lift and carry 40 lbs

Work Environment:


  • 8:30 am 5:00 pm Monday Friday
  • 8:30 am 5:00 pm Tuesday Saturday
  • Extra hours may be required to cover staff vacations
