Description

This position is on the day shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

We are looking for someone who enjoys to work on building/putting together large objects and is mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities of this position include:


  • Read, interpret, and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • Utilize handheld tools such as handheld wrenches, sockets, air guns
  • Follow and help maintain assembly procedure specifications
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
  • Lift raw materials, final products and items packed for shipment. Manually lift up to 50lbs
  • Work with other departments within the shop to ensure the products are made correctly and on time
  • Use overhead cranes to assembler larger components

Qualifications

  • No experience necessary
  • Interest in mechanics preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy materials
  • Self starter, ambitious, eager to learn
  • Experience with operating machines, power tools and overhead cranes
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting considered an asset
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$19.00-$24.00 per hour
