The Mobility Network is an Institutional Strategic Initiative at the University of Toronto School of Cities that convenes a multidisciplinary collaboration of researchers from across the University of Toronto's four campuses to ask powerful questions and lead pivotal discussions about the journey to an equitable, sustainable future, enabled by mobility.

Your opportunity:


Reporting jointly to the Mobility Network Academic Director and Managing Director, the Mobility Network - Administrative Coordinator will manage day-to-day operations of Mobility Network.

Working closely with Mobility Network leaders, you will be responsible for coordinating Mobility Network activities across several priority pillars:
research development, student training and mentorship, and both internal and external networking and outreach activities.

You will help organize meetings and events, both internally and within the University and with external stakeholders, as well as with the general public.

You will track and keep on schedule Mobility Network initiatives. You will assist the Academic Director in preparing standard reports and handling routine expense reports, invoices and payments.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
  • Handling sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Writing routine documents and correspondence
  • Generating reports
  • Analyzing data
  • Determining logístical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Collecting and submitting expense reimbursement claims

Essential Qualifications:


  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of recent and related experience providing senior level administrative support
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and the promotions of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment

Assets:


  • Experience and/ or knowledge in transportation or urban planning
  • Experience in academic administrative role
