Rolmaster Conveyors, a Canadian manufacturing company, requires
Summer Students Mechanical Technical Assemblers (Full Time) in a fast-paced environment as soon as possible.
Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 7:00 am to 11:30 am). This position is for Full Time hours (not part time). Overtime is paid after 42 hours. Location is on bus route.
Employees must have mechanical aptitude.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assembling mechanical parts into a functional material handling system
- Use of basic manufacturing equipment (belt sander/saw/grinder)
- Preparation and fabrication of subassemblies (cutting, drilling, grinding, tapping, etc.) for final installation
- Move, align and install subassemblies and components
- Fit, modify and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build material handling equipment
- Install major components such as gear motors, hydraulic assemblies, rollers, actuators
- Cutting, fitting, crimping hydraulic/pneumatic hoses
- Bending, fitting installing hydraulic/pneumatic tubing
- Performance testing of complete machines
- Prepare units for shipping (add decals, clean, etc.)
- Maintain a safe and nonhazardous work environment at all times
- Assist loading & unloading or supplies or parts in Shipping/Receiving department
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs.
- Must be able to work proficiently with hands and wrists and be able to grasp objects
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to operate machinery and be able to operate foot controls on equipment
- Must be able to pass mandatory Health & Safety testing
Must be able to read a tape measure:
- Must provide CSA approved steel toe boots (measure a min of 6" from the floor to the top side)

Rate:
$ 18.00 to $20.00/hour to start ($ 756 to $ 840 per week Gross Pay) (may increase based on performance). Rate will be based on previous work experience.
