Cyclone Manufacturing is currently looking for
the NDT Technician Level 2 or Level 3 certified in Magnetic Particle Inspection (NAS 410 and/or CGSB for a position to support process set-up, qualification, and inspection. Currently, the position is deemed as Part-Time but could change to Full-Time after a successful discussion. This is a standard day shift position but may require emergency work in the afternoon or occasional weekend.


Under the responsibility of the NDT (Responsible Level 3) and the Quality Manager, the NDT Technician will be responsible for developing and performing non-destructive testing in accordance with Magnetic Particle inspection techniques.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Receive and prepare parts to inspect and complete the required documents.
  • Inspect parts according to procedures and customer specifications.
  • Identify manufacturing defects or other discontinuities.
  • Strictly follow NDT instructions and techniques.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to conduct systems performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
  • Capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees.
  • When specified in the written practice, be capable of developing work instructions from the approved general procedures.
  • Have a basic knowledge of the relevant product manufacturing.
  • All other tasks assigned by Supervisor or Manager

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:


  • Certified according to standard NAS 410 and/or CGSB
  • Formal training in Magnetic Particle Inspection.
  • Magnetic bench experience (Wet Fluorescent Method).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work standing upright and lift loads of up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to read and speak in English is mandatory.
  • Will have to successfully pass written and practical exams for NAS 410 certification.
  • Experience in the aerospace field an asset.

Salary:
$35.00-$45.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
