New Junior position available in Waterloo, Ontario


This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate/Trainee looking to start a career in the Investments Funds Industry*The Junior Associate will be responsible the day to day administration of Private Equity Funds, delivery to clients, and assisting members of the team.


Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President - PERE Accounting, the Junior Associate will be an integral part of the team's success.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintaining books and records and all relevant supporting documentation.
  • Daily review of transactions and cash reconciliation. Liase with banks, custodian or investment manager to ensure the funds operations are properly recorded.
  • Record keeping in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Waterfall and return calculation.
  • Maintenance of books and records of SPV's.
  • Preparing consolidated annual and semiannual financial statements, including supporting schedules.
  • Management of audit and tax requirements.
  • Liaise with property valuers.

EDUCATION:


  • A university degree (B.A./ B.Sc./ M.B.A.) in Business (preferably specializing in accountancy or another financialrelated discipline).

EXPERIENCE:


  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
