Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller and VP of Finance, the Payroll Manager will work as a strategic member of the Kids & Company Payroll team to assist in payroll/employee administration in ADP and government and third party related responsibilities.
Payroll/Employee Administration

2+ years of payroll management experience with a small team
Manage the biweekly, multiprovincial and state payrolls using ADP WFN solution, US & CAD
Aiding in various payroll reconciling & preview processes, including ADP data audits, to ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely
Communicate with and resolve pay discrepancies or other concerns with HR department
Coach and mentor payroll staff
Liaise with and assist Human Resources in maintain employee payroll records within ADP
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification from the National Payroll Institute (formerly CPA) or equivalent experience; Certified Payroll Manager designation, an asset

Government/Third Party Related Responsibilities

Validate and respond to Service Canada inquires
Prepare/Review government reporting requirements

Knowledge and Skills

Intermediate knowledge of accounting practices & procedures (including account reconciliations)
ADP Workforce Now experience in both US & Canadian systems
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Proficient with Microsoft excel
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
Good English communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and work to strict deadlines
