Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • Accounts payable management, including managing vendor setup and maintenance, account reconciliation, and payment processing for Promat Inc. and Dairy Cheq (another member of CG Wellington family of companies).
  • Assist in preparing rolling cash forecast with Corporate Finance Manager.
  • Accounts receivable reporting, statements, collections and posting within our accounting system.
  • Prepare AP and AR forecasts monthly, and report quarterly.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts (both vendors and customers) to foster CG Wellington and Promat's values.
  • General accounting responsibilities, including account reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.
  • Assist with monthly close process, including journal entries and ensuring all invoicing, expense reports and payments have been processed.
  • Assist with inventory accounting and analysis, including cycle count adjustments.
  • Assist with costing analysis and other financial analysis as required.
  • Monitor expenses in relation to annual budget, highlighting swings to General Manager, Vice President.
  • Petty cash management and reconciliation.
  • Bank deposits, mail, answering phones, office supply purchasing, and other ad hoc clerical duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • College diploma or certificate in accounting plus 5 years related work experience.
  • Experience with financial accounting systems, Microsoft Business Central experience a plus.
  • Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to think independently and problem solve.
  • Outstanding team player and a commitment to the greater good.
