Manitoba Health is seeking to fill a Reporting Analyst position within the Information Management and Analytics branch.

The Information Management & Analytics (IMA) branch leads the Provincial Information Management and Analytics (PIMA) Shared Service, and maintains the Provincial Data Repository (PDR) and other IMA databases.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Postsecondary degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Community Health Sciences, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Graduate degree in a relevant discipline is an asset.
Experience developing performance reports, dashboards and/or performance indicators.
Extensive experience in gathering requirements from various stakeholders and translating into work tasks and deliverables.
Experience conducting quantitative data analysis with complex database domains.
Experience testing, reviewing and documenting the operational steps of report generation.
Experience with SQL querying languages and using Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
Strong analytical skills to draw meaningful inferences and insights from complex data.
Excellent written communication skills to produce complex written material for a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships and collaborate in a team environment.

Desired:

Knowledge of health information and its uses for indicator development, planning, surveillance, and evaluation purposes.
