Cleans and maintains Parks Canada Agency buildings/facilities and grounds to enhance the visitor experience.

Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada's outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas, and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

Located on the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula, Forillon Park is a mountainous area that borders on the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Bay of Gaspé. Its boreal forest is home to an diverse wildlife that can be easily observed. The parks steep cliffs welcome thousands of sea birds and its shores harbour colonies of seals. Its stunning vistas and rock formations are a testament to our planets captivating history. The Forillon Peninsula has been inhabited for thousands of years and Forillon Park bears witness to the lives of the men and women who lived there, including Micmacs, fishermen, cod merchants, whale hunters and lighthouse keepers.

EDUCATION :
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination* of education, training and experience.
* An acceptable combination of education and experience means: Three years of completed secondary education and a minimum of twenty-four months of work experience.
EXPERIENCE :
Significant work Experience in the fields of maintenance household in an commercial installation, community, institutional or public.
Experience in delivery of services to the public.
NOTE:
Definition "Significant work Experience": Work Experience during at least twelve months which the candidate had the responsibility to conduct a significant portion of tasks related to maintenance household.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION - ASSET :
Experience as a Visitor Facilities Attendant at the Parks Canada Agency.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
Obtain and maintain Reliability Status security clearance.
Possession of a valid Driver's license 5.
OPERATIONNAL REQUIREMENTS :
Conduct repetitive tasks.
Stand, bend, stretch and work from ladders.
Perform tasks requiring physical strength, i.e. lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching and reaching above shoulder.
Travel to various outdoor sites with some exposure to weather elements.
Be exposed to noxious odors from cleaning products.
Occasionally demonstrate tasks to others.
Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required.
Wear a Parks Canada uniform.
