Porzia's is opening its first location and we are looking to hire a Chef de Cuisine that will grow with us and help build the foundation for our opening.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated individual committed to creating an inclusive, positive work environment. You will play a very key role in the management team.

3+ years of kitchen management experience is preferred, but experienced hospitality professionals looking to take the next step in their career are also encouraged to apply

  • 3+ years of experience in a kitchen management role in a full service environment
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures

  • Seeks new demanding challenges
  • Passionate about food, restaurants and customer service
  • Computer literacy and comfortable operating PCs and POS systems
  • Understanding of food and labour costs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Committed to creating an inclusive positive work environment
  • Responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and all food production
  • Strong and effective communication
with all staff

  • Maintain daily cleanliness and sanitation of all production, service areas and equipment
  • Ability to deal with high pressure environments
  • Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
  • Assist in hiring of kitchen staff
  • Train and mentor staff
  • Sets the staffing schedule
  • Leads preshift meetings
  • Help to develop recipes and menus for lunch and dinner service
  • Maintains food costs, budgets and labour costs
  • Oversee lunch and dinner service to ensure quality standards are being adhered to
  • Ensures kitchen is following all food safety and exceeding sanitary requirements

Salary:
$55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
