Description

We are seeking an experienced hairdresser/barber to provide hair care and barber services to the people who live in our Long-Term Care home, working a flexible schedule of approximately 15 to 30 hours per week.


You will be a great fit for this role if you are a warm and caring person, who has a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience providing high-quality hair/personal grooming services to elderly and vulnerable populations.

in addition, you must possess an Ontario Hairstylist license and $ 2 Million in liability insurance.

In this role, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate residents' appointments in conjunction with the nursing staff
  • Porter the residents to and from the inhouse salon
  • Maintain hair station cleanliness/ hygienic procedures and ensure all safety standards are met
  • Supply your own hairdressing/barber supplies
  • Maintain records of all applicable services rendered
  • Provide consistent top quality in all services provided to residents

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- hair styling: 1 year (preferred)
- working with geriatric and/or vulnerable populations: 1 year (preferred)
