This is a Temporary Part Time position for 18 months Sinai Health is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Veteran Parent Support Role The Veteran Parent Support Role (VPSR) is a liaison between staff and parents whose baby(s) are currently in the Mount Sinai Neonatal Intensive Care Unit The Veteran Parent Support role must be the parent of a graduate from the NICU at Mount Sinai Hospital About Our NICU The NICU consists of 2 levels of specialized care Level III and Level II In This Role You Will Commit and understand FICare Promote and encourage parental involvement in all aspects of FICare programming Develop and coordinate support to families in the NICU Job Requirements Mandatory Must be a parent who has had a baby in the Mount Sinai Neonatal Intensive Care Unit who was born at less than 32 weeks gestation &/or any parent who had a baby in the Mount Sinai NICU for less than 1 month Skills and Knowledge Effective verbal and written communication skills interpersonal customer services skills Demonstrate cultural competency working with / or relating to diverse populations If this sounds like you apply now
