Business Overview:
The Fidelity Legal Department provides legal services to all aspects of Fidelity's business


These legal services include:

preparing and maintaining disclosure documents and material contracts, providing legal advice on new products, interpreting securities and other laws, and providing board and corporate legal support.


How You'll Make an Impact:
Position Overview


The Prospectus Operations Manager will support a team of lawyers, law clerks and legal translators, and will act as the primary liaison between FIC Legal and other business units, such as retail and institutional product, operations, compliance, finance, and other key internal personnel for new and existing product offering related matters.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drafting offering documents for private and public investment funds and accounts under the supervision of a lawyer
  • Creating filing timetables and workback schedules
  • Liaising with lawyers, the broader FIC business prospectus review team, board operations manager, board of directors, and internal and external translators as it relates to product offering related matters
  • Preparing and/or assisting with creating board materials for filings, updating material and nonmaterial contracts, and creating or updating designated broker and dealer agreements
  • Managing FIC Legal's MRFP review process
  • Managing FIC Legal's corporate actions rota and assisting as the primary liaison between the corporate actions team and FIC Legal
  • Arranging for the execution of fund investment documents

What We Are Looking For:
Experience

  • 3+ years of working with offering document disclosure for retail/institutional funds and accounts; or project management experience.
  • Legal experience gained at a large financial institution or law firm is preferred.
Education

  • University degree or equivalent experience
