SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the day-to-day marketing activations for NHL Corporate Marketing Partners, including the following responsibilities:

  • Lead ongoing partner approvals, some of which to include: digital/social content, PR, event and brand/product activation, premium items, brand advertising
  • Proactively manage the development and implementation of all B2Bfocused partner programs/activations throughout the season with a direct focus on NHL Jewel Events (Heritage Classic, All-Star Weekend, Winter Classic, Stadium Series, Stanley Cup Final and Awards)
  • Accurately interpret contracts and related legal documents for purposes of ensuring the fulfilment of all partner deliverables
  • Lead partner activation tracking and monitor all marketing fund allocations
  • Research, write and develop client presentations, content briefs, event summaries and meeting/event recapCoordinate the delivery of all necessary NHL marketing and/or media assets as per each partnership agreement
  • Work effectively with several internal divisions of the NHL to meet deadlines and coordinate necessary program deliverables
  • Compile necessary B2B category relevant research/background information to help the team stay informed on each partners' business and generate new creative ideas for partner campaigns
  • Attend and contribute to meetings/presentations with partners

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience in project management and event planning including (but not limited to) budget tracking, catering, transportation, and onsite execution
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong level of customer service / account management training
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills and an ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Possess a positive, cando, curious attitude
  • High level of interest / familiarity in emerging media including analytics, broadcast, and social media platforms
  • High level of interest in Technology in Sports
  • Strong working knowledge of sports marketing and the sport of hockey
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (US), including nights and weekends where applicable

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


  • Successful completion of postsecondary education in Commerce, Marketing or related field
  • 3+ years marketing experience within brand/sports/entertainment marketing, event management, media and/or promotion
  • Previous B2B experience is an asset

LANGUAGE SKILLS:


  • English (Superior spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in French (spoken and written) is an asset
