That's the Townline Way.Currently we are in need of a Carpenter Apprentice to join our site in Richmond and Vancouver.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to work with one of BC's most respected and proven residential and mixed-use developers.
General Duties & Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- light and heavy duties, back framing, door & hardware install, blocking, backing, hoarding, handrails, misc. formwork
- Take measurements and calculate the size & amount of material needed
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements
- Willing to work overtime hours to make deadlines
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed by supervisors
- Assemble various items using power tools when needed.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean and neat work environment, tidy work space before end of each shift
- Other duties as required
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 48 years of carpentry woodframe experience
- Knowledge of various tools and equipment as well as materials and methods of construction are required
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks and work independently
- A high commitment to personal safety and the safety of others
- Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including laborers, technical, professional, and upper
- Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities;
- Strong communication, leadership, integration, problemsolving and interpersonal skills;
- Must have own steel toe boots
- Must be comfortable working outside in all types of weather conditions
- Wages are ultimately determined by skill level, competitive wages and benefit packages available for hourly workers
