Job summary
This fully funded PhD position at New York University's Urban Planet Lab represents a unique and impactful opportunity to contribute to the global discourse on urban climate resilience.The primary focus of this PhD position is to advance research on how urban populations respond and adapt to climate extremes, particularly extreme heat events, through the use of mobility data, climate science, and statistical physics.
A strong academic background in engineering, mathematics, or physics,
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R,
Experience or demonstrated skills in geospatial analysis and/or machine learning,
a keen interest in complexity science, urban data analytics, and climate adaptation,
