Responsibilities:

What your days look like as a Senior Project Manager:

Manage the execution and coordination of major environmental project across Canada, including contaminated site remediation, sheet pile dyking, marine dredging, hazardous materials management, centrifugal sludge dewatering, water treatment, mass excavation, and remote projects;
Understand client objectives, contract scope, as well as project budget and timeline;
Ensure the client understands the technical scope of the project;
Review contract clauses and resolve contentious issues, as required;
Ensure contract modifications and amendments are documented and communicated to the client and project manager;
Perform a technical review of all deliverables;
Review and approve the selection of guidelines, standards, regulations, and legislation applicable to the project;
Oversee operational logistics for remote worksites;
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure operations are executed according to the established timeline;
Plan, coordinate, and support the implementation and completion of environmental work in the field (together with the technical and operational personnel, the client, and subcontractors);
Perform technical management and financial monitoring of projects;
Draft technical documentation and various reports;
Ensure the transmission of knowledge to team members;
Participate in the development and estimation of complex bids.

Qualifications:

To succeed as a Senior Project Manager you must have:

A minimum of 8 years' experience in the management of environmental projects, major or remote projects, contaminated site remediation, infrastructure or other related field;
A minimum of 3 years' experience in the management and leading of multidisciplinary work teams;
A university degree in Engineering, Environment, or other related field or a professional designation.
Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written);
Outstanding knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and MS Project);
Excellent quality of reports, primarily in English an asset;
Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
Ability to adapt, learn, and cope with change;
Superior teaching skills;
Demonstrate initiative and leadership;
Willingness to take on challenges and travel an asset.
