This role is full time, permanent and reports to the VP of Technology in our Toronto office.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

1.
Leadership - Achieve objectives through the coordination and development of the team

  • Lead daily activities; provide direction and follow up to ensure the team meets it's deliverables;
  • Provide ongoing guidance and direction for the deployment team;
  • Recruit, train and ensure ongoing development through performance management programs; Identify training needs and research or provide guidance on suitable programs for development of the team.

2.
Security & Infrastructure -Manage required Infrastructure

  • Lead the implementation of bestpractise cloud architectural design principles, for HA, redundancy and autoscaling of the StoreForce SaaS solution infrastructure
  • Lead the implementation of bestpractise automation and process changes, for improved control and efficiency of production environments and deployments
  • Lead the security posture within the hosted infrastructure. Maintain and enforce security policies and procedures;
  • Maintain existing vendor relations; Secure required services for new, upgrades or solutions changes; Ensure renewals are reviewed and actioned appropriately.

3.
Implementation Support - Provide technical support during implementations

  • Provide input on the planning for client deployments; coordinate required resources to meet deployment schedule;
  • Ensure the environment meets prerequisites prior to the scheduled deployment;
  • Lead and participate in the installation of the StoreForce Application suite
  • Provide support to the Client's IT department during installation;
  • Ensure preUAT testing is completed to meet the business requirements; resolve issues prior to deployment;
  • Maintain software installation documentation and adjust as required by installation;
  • Identify and implement process improvement or automation to efficiency and accuracy of software deployments.

4.
Issues Resolution - Demonstrate urgency in ensuring resolution of issues

  • Provide support to the StoreForce client base; collaborate with all necessary teams to resolve issues; Maintain open communication and provide updates;
  • Troubleshoot issues, maintain issues log to document findings and resolution.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years managing and leading teams, operation and technical support team
  • Experience with core Cloud (preferably Azure) services such as Azure VMs, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Functions, Azure Scale sets, AKS, Azure Application Insights, Azure API Manager, Azure Blob storage, Azure Service Bus etc
  • Experience in delivering direct support to users;

KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong knowledge of Cloudnative principles, best practices, and tooling
  • Understanding of endtoend HTTP traffic workflow within a microservice environment, and associated API principles and protocols (REST preferred)
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps, PowerShell, SFTP
  • Proficiency with VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies.
  • Understanding of Active Directory
  • Understanding of relational databases (SQL server preferred) and Windows Server operating systems
