Summit Interconnect Ontario, Toronto has a current open position for a Human Resources Business Partner that performs duties at the professional level in all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, benefits management and payroll functions.

This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.

The HR Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Handles the recruitment process including job postings, scheduling interviews, assists with the background check process.
  • Onboarding new hires and conducting orientation sessions to ensure a seamless integration into the company.
  • Managing employee records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Assisting with employee relations matters, including resolving conflicts and addressing employee concerns.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure effective communication to employees.
  • Point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution culture building.
  • Assists with special projects, handbooks, training, update internal HR processes and forms.
  • Responsible for biweekly payroll preparation and inputting of data into ADP WFN and Central Time/ADP. Payroll will be transmitted by the corporate office.
  • Coaches, counsels and guides managers/supervisors before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  • Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action.
  • Handles and processes employee terminations and exit interview process.
  • Updates and maintains employee training records.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:


  • Knowledge of company hiring procedures.
  • Knowledge of company benefits programs.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and eTIME.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and have an ability to maintain a good working relationship with others.
  • Willingness to learn through actively engaging in problemsolving, researching and finding resolution options.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Solid judgment and ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to multitask.

Education and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailedoriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on process improvement.

Compensation/Benefits:
Summit offers a variety of health and benefit programs. Which include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PTO, and Paid Holidays. Benefits are effective 1st day of the month following date of hire.

Pay Range for this position is $85K - $94K CAD annually.
