Home Care Assistance, Barrie Simcoe County is a Staffing Solution Company. We are currently hiring a community support worker to be employed in a retirement residence in Bradford.

Your typical day:

Assist with oneonone support for elderly residents
Keep resident engaged and safe
Assist at mealtimes
All other tasks required by the care plan
A passion for the job in helping others
Companionship and friendship
Engage in ROM exercise and mobility activities

Example:
going for walks, folding clothing together and exercise programs...

Connect with cognitive engagement to keep the client mentally stimulated

Example:
puzzles, games, skill building and social engagement...

Must haves:

_Must be mentally strong and able to handle behaviors and dementia_:

Access to reliable transportation G License and valid insurance (is an asset)
Demonstrated working experience with the elderly, knowledgeable with respect to their needs
Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors
All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Proof of valid Covid19 vaccines
