Waste Water Plant Operator - Training/Operator Position

Duties & Tasks of a Water and Wastewater Plant Operator
may include, but not limited to- Operating pumps, valves, and gates to control the flow of water or waste. Regulate water flow through stages of the treatment such as filtering, the addition of chemicals (polymers, for example) and aeration techniques. The Operator will conduct influent, in-process, effluent and recieve environment monitoring programs including, in-house analyses and collecting/preparing samples for shipment to an external laboratory. Receive, load and unload chemicals
.

• College or technical training in water treatment, chemistry, or other closely related field;
• Operator in Training Certificate;
• Ontario Water Treatment Plant Level 1 Certification is an asset;

years of related experience;

• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively;
• Valid Class G Driver's license.
• All necessary safety training will be provided
• Starting wage based on experience and licenses
• Raise after a 3month probationary period
• Vehicle to get to and from work reliably.
• Drug test,Fit test,Driving Abstract most likely needed
• Travel Allowance Provided

Salary:
$28.00-$35.00 per hour
