The role of the District Sales Manager consists of but is not limited to expertly managing the territory, developing customer relationships, profitably growing the territory with new and existing customers, operating as a liaison between customers and our Cold Finish Operations, and executing on Nucor's Value-Based Selling approach.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ability to follow the Nucor Family Values.
  • Attend client events, sales meetings, and trade shows
  • Selfmotivated/selfdirected able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • New business prospecting and development, virtual and inperson meetings with an emphasis on building the Quebec market.
  • Protect the existing account base and increase revenue and profitability within the account.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve business goals
  • Continually assess market conditions and competitors' activities and develop an awareness of emerging markets and trends.
  • Enter pertinent call reports and customer information into Microsoft Dynamics 36
  • Ability to collaborate with sales and nonsales teammates within Laurel Steel and the Cold Finish Group to drive results and maximize profitability.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 3+ years' experience in sales preferably in the areas of cold finish bar or wire and mesh sales.
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business and or Marketing
  • Exceptional Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability and means to travel as needed to Take Care of Our Customers and support the division (within Canada and the US, including overnight travel)
  • Fluent bilingual French-Canadian and English considered an asset
