Job Summary:


The Assistant, Donor Relations supports the Donor Relations team in the Vice-President, Community Engagement portfolio with the creation and distribution of communications designed to acknowledge, thank, build, and strengthen relationships with UFV donors and supporters.

The Assistant also supports the coordination of donor activities and events and liaises with the President's Office and other departments on a variety of donor relations initiatives.

Qualifications:


  • Certificate in office administration from a recognized postsecondary institution.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related work experience supporting fundraising and donor relations activities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or other similar donor management databases or centralized fundraising systems is an asset.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to proofread for style, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal sensitively, effectively, and professionally with students, staff, faculty, and other professional groups as well as the public.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement, confidentiality, sensitivity, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to function with mínimal supervision, remain calm under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working in a postsecondary institution preferred.
