Job Title
Risk Relationship Manager

Ensure risk decisions are consistent and clearly communicated while providing additional clarification/support/learnings to sales partners if necessary.
Facilitates risk presentations for sales partners as required.
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback through Underwriter 1X1 and quarterly documented performance reviews in partnership with the Director, Living Benefits and Underwriting Operations Manager to a designated team of Underwriters.
Partner with Reinsurer on complex Critical Illness files to obtain the best offer for our applicants that is in line with our pricing assumptions.
Partner with Corporate Underwriting and GRM divisions to ensure risk assessments and decisions are within the prescribed RBC Insurance philosophy and guidelines using the approved resources and manuals.

Job Summary
This senior leadership role has significant Living Benefits authority limits. The Risk Relationship Manager is the primary risk contact for internal and external sales partners.

They are responsible in partnership with the L&H NBO Operations Manager for developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external sales partners.

Along with the Director, Living Benefits Underwriting, they will develop a team of Underwriters that will provide consistent high quality decisions that align with product and pricing parameters.
