Western Aerial Applications Ltd. - Canada's largest Helicopter Aerial Application company, requires a Ground Fleet Manager to be responsilbe for our growing fleet of highway tractors, trailers, equipment and earth works equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be responsible for interviewing, hiring & managing HD truck drivers.
Arrange rentals, leases and purchases of vehicles & equipment.
Monitor Driver performance to ensure a safe trucking operation.
Schedule & dispatch drivers & equipment througout the year over three defined hauling seasons.
Ensure appropriate vehicle insurance is always in place.
Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs and inspections with company shop employees and outside repair shops.
Administer eLog devices, asset trackers and driver's driving records as well as vehicle maintenance records.
Assist with company marketing efforts for hauling *=& equipment hiring during offeason periods.

Qualifications:

Previous experience managing HD drivers & equipment in a fleet of at least 15 vehicles would be a definite asset.

A Class 1 driver's licence would be an asset but is not required
You will need to be organized and able to work independently in a dynamice environment, anticipate upcoming requirements & problems and be able to deal with the unexpected.
You will coordinate with other team members, report to Senior Management and must be available to answer your phone after hours during periods of busy operations.
