    Hours: Part-Time (10–20 hours/week with flexible scheduling)

    Compensation: $90-$125/hour (depending on experience and client-roster)

Located in the heart of Brighton, Ontario, we are a growing private practice committed to providing compassionate, evidence-informed, and child-centered care. Our multidisciplinary team offers a welcoming and inclusive space where children, youth, and families feel safe, seen, and supported.

    We are currently seeking a warm, skilled, and playful Child Therapist/Social Worker to join our team on a part-time basis, with a focus on play-based and relational therapeutic work with children and their caregivers.

    Position Overview

    The successful candidate will provide individual therapy for children ages 3–12, integrating play, attachment, and trauma-informed approaches. You'll work collaboratively with caregivers, and other professionals (as needed), while maintaining strong clinical documentation and ethical practice.

    This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about creative, play-based therapy in a supportive, private practice environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide play-based therapy to children (ages 3–12) using child-led and developmentally appropriate approaches.
    • Build trusting therapeutic relationships with both children and caregivers.
    • Conduct intake sessions, assessments, and collaboratively develop treatment plans.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and progress notes.
    • Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., educators, pediatricians) when appropriate.
    • Participate in peer consultation, clinical meetings, and ongoing supervision.
    • Contribute to a positive and inclusive practice culture.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Social Work, Psychotherapy, Psychology, or related field.
    • Registered (or in the process of registering) with a regulated college in Ontario (e.g., OCSWSSW, CRPO).
    • Training and/or experience in play therapy, child development, and attachment-based models.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a private practice setting.
    • Strong communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.
    • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience with children and families preferred.
    • Availability for at least 1–2 consistent days per week (evenings or weekends are a plus).

    Assets (Not Required)

    • Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or working toward certification
    • Training in Theraplay, DDP, Synergetic Play Therapy, or similar
    • Experience working with neurodiverse children or children with complex trauma
    • Familiarity with private practice operations (billing, scheduling, etc.)
