If so, you may be who we are looking for
GeoVerra is currently seeking a
Planner to support our talented Land Use Planning team, located in
Regina, Saskatchewan.

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain client relationships through exceptional client communications for the delivery of services that meet or exceed client expectations.

The Planner will collaborate with a team of other Planners, Surveyors, and Geomatics professionals to facilitate land and policy development through a variety of projects in the public and private sector.


What you will do**:


  • Build and nurture client relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Utilize internal resources to engage further technical expertise in developing custom client solutions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all regulatory and technical requirements for your projects.
  • Evaluate or assist in evaluation of rezoning, bylaw amendments, site plans, special use permits.
  • Assist in the preparation of Official Community Plans and Zoning Bylaws.
  • Act as liaison between community groups, government agencies and developers in developing subdivision plans and bylaws.
  • Assess the conditions and impacts of the economic, physical, political, environmental and social variables effected by the development.
  • Prepare statutory plans, community plans, and related land use bylaws for client review.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:


  • Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, geography, architecture, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience;
  • Member in good standing or eligible for membership in the Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute.
  • 13 years experience working as a Planner;
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with strict deadlines and keen attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and competently with people at all levels in the organization;
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working autonomously to meet project deadlines;
  • Contribute on an ongoing basis toward maintaining a safe working environment both for yourself and for those working with you or in your close vicinity;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior analytical skills and the ability to be adaptable and think outside the box.
  • Successful completion of preemployment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace
