    We are currently seeking an energetic and driven individual to lead our Calgary Delivery team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate must have reliable transportation, as our HQ/Warehouse location is not accessible via public transit.

    Primary Job Purpose

    The Delivery Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring our company's standard in the successful and accurate delivery of flooring materials and accessories to various job sites throughout Calgary and surrounding areas. The Delivery Supervisor will be required to schedule necessary routes based on delivery times, volumes and schedules, schedule drivers, and ensure the correct use of paperwork and documentation, and the completion of safety and hazard assessments.

    Specific Responsibilities

  • Schedule daily deliveries. Collaborate with Warehouse Manager and Installations Scheduler to ensure routing is completed on a weekly basis, include the completion of daily route sheets, to meet installation deadlines. Scheduling 911 deliveries as needed.
  • Send delivery cut-off emails to appropriate staff members, based on weekly deliveries.
  • Ensure and overseeing the accurate loading and unloading of flooring material to and from various job sites throughout Calgary and surrounding areas, as specified in paperwork provided, to ensure no skids are missed.
  • Ensuring daily production goals are met by team.
  • Conduct site visits at delivery locations to ensure compliance with company standards and expectations.
  • Field phone calls from Delivery team and Site Supervisors to mitigate concerns/issues on site.
  • Schedule necessary equipment for Delivery team, including Zoom Boom, with appropriate builder contacts.
  • Familiar with and following all Company health and safety procedures, including ensuring the completion of all pre- and post-trip inspections, hazard assessments, incident reports, based on OHIS procedures the Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Monitor and advise Warehouse Manager on company fleet service and maintenance.
  • Upload delivery photos from third-party transits to ensure documentation is complete and accurate, daily.
  • Participate in and lead monthly delivery team meetings and safety orientations.
  • Participate in the hiring and termination of Delivery team members.
  • Training and onboarding new team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews with Delivery team members. Provide coaching, mentorship and feedback on performance, areas of success and areas for improvement.
  • Schedule temporary workers with Warehouse Manager, as necessary.
  • Covering delivery duties on truck as determined by PTO by delivery team, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs on a consistent basis
  • Previous experience driving a 5-ton truck
  • Valid class 5 driver's license, with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Proven experience in managing a team.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Previous forklift experience considered an asset.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to work in a close team environment.
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance record.
  • Reliable and hardworking.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
