Project Manager/Estimator at Monarchy Build


Monarchy Build, a leading construction company in Ottawa, is currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Project Managers/Estimators to join our team.

As a Project Managers/Estimators you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of our projects, including takeoffs and estimating, client bookings, supplier management, order placement, crew scheduling, and acquiring new projects.

This position offers a salary of 70,000 CAD per year and follows a Monday through Friday schedule. The work location is at 1891 Merivale Road.


Responsibilities:


  • Minimum 5 years experience as a project manager/estimator
  • Book clients in for renovations, full build, siding and roofing projects, ensuring their needs and requirements are fully understood and communicated to the relevant teams.
  • Do material/quantitative takeoffs through Bluebeam or buildexact and create estimates and present to the clients.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain strong relationships to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Place orders for required materials and equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  • Efficiently manage the crew schedule, assigning tasks and ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Actively seek out and acquire new projects through various channels, such as networking, marketing initiatives, and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.
  • Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and files to track progress, expenses, and any changes or modifications.
  • Address any client concerns or issues promptly and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously evaluate project performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in project management in construction
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools to track progress, manage schedules, and communicate project updates.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling project documentation, orders, and scheduling.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively identify and address potential project challenges.
  • Knowledge of restoration, renovation, new construction, siding and roofing materials, construction processes, and industry best practices is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
