Overview:
KUBRA is in growth mode and currently seeking a

Manager, Technical Writing to join our Product Development department


As a Manager, Technical Writing, you will be working on producing documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products.

You'll get to work collaboratively with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to document our software and the product development process.

They lead a team of other Technical Writers.

What you get to do every day:

  • Lead the Technical Writers in achieving established goals and departmental objectives.
  • Foster an environment that emphasizes trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
  • Oversee and provide guidance on solutions for documenting our products.
  • Improve the deliverability of our product documents through process improvements and automation.
  • Writing and publishing online customerfacing documentation for each of our products that allow the reader to understand, implement, configure, and use those products.
  • Writing or reviewing product whitepapers under the guidance of product or engineering managers.
  • Writing or reviewing implementation and configuration guides under the guidance of product managers.

What kind of person should you be?:

  • Ability to show a historical portfolio of persuasive technical writing.
  • Ability to deliver highquality documentation with attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, diagrams, and screenshots.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Markdown format, GitHub, Google Drive, or JIRA is preferred.
  • Experience with managing and publishing documents on a hosted documentation platform is a great asset.
  • Proven ability to assess platform and implementation process alternatives to make critical decisions

What skills do you need?:

  • University degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with technologies such as GitHub and JIRA
  • Minimum of 45 years of experience in a technical writing background
