Summary:


Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide project control support to the project team, as well as monitoring and submitting information on master plan rollups.

The incumbent will use the output from the onsite scheduling, estimating, and cost analysis reports, to monitor forecast and report on overall budget and productivities.

The successful incumbent will have previous construction experience.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Effectively interact with other key NAC jobsite personnel in a team environment, while providing continuous ongoing review of the project status to the Project Manager
  • Cost management activities such as; monthly billing cycle, subcontractor payables, cost monitoring and tracking, preparation of change order prices, accounting system entries, cash flow modelling, etc.
  • Track, monitor and analyze cost, revenue and productivity data
  • Evaluate project trends and cost forecast and prepare cost trend reports
  • Review subcontractor and vendor progress draws and billing, ensuring completion of work, allowable pass through billing, ensure accuracy and completion of required documents. Revise overbillings and be apprised of underbillings in concert with NAC progress billing preparation. Obtain appropriate approvals and maintain a site log
  • Ensure labour cost monitoring is being carried out according to established procedures, while providing input and guidance on future cost control to the project team
  • Review site generated PO's
  • Participate in and monthly and quarterly progress/financial reporting and eventually lead

Requirements:


  • Post Secondary graduate in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Possess relevant experience working in a cost control position, in the construction industry
  • A background in accounting and financial reporting is mandatory
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook). Working knowledge of Jonas is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and be a positive team member
  • Desire to increase knowledge and scope may provide a wide range of financial responsibilities and opportunities on this, and future NAC projects

Salary:
$90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
