About Us
The Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services has significant oversight and involvement in the public security and emergency services through its various divisions and operations.
The Ministry supports crime prevention and restorative justice programs, as well as programs and services to support victims of crime including those affected by domestic violence and human trafficking.

Role
Reporting to the Senior Assistant Deputy Minister/Managing Director AEMA, the Executive Advisor, Emerging and Strategic Priorities leads and influences disaster prevention, mitigation and preparedness initiatives and activities in Alberta by leading the development of priorities identified by cabinet committees for the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA).
The Executive Advisor is responsible for the coordination and responsiveness of the branch when required to provide strategic support to emerging priorities, notably to Premier and Cabinet while they support the Managing Director/Senior ADM.
As a key member of the AEMA leadership team, this position is jointly responsible for defining strategic direction for the agency programs, services, and initiatives for Albertans.
Qualifications
Your background includes extensive related leadership experience with strengths in program management, managing in a client-focused service environment and dealing with the public, news media and senior level officials in the public and private sector.
You have proven abilities working in high-paced, high-pressure environments, providing relevant solutions in an ever-changing environment.Your highly honed political acumen along with a strong track-record of building partnerships among a diverse group of stakeholders will be key to your success.
Experience working in a government organization (federal, provincial or municipal level) is considered an asset. A University Degree in a related discipline is required with a post-graduate degree in a related field an asset.Salary
$4, $6,484.75 bi-weekly ($128,788 - $169,251.98 annually)
