Overview:


Reporting to the Director, HR & Withrow Common Gallery, the Reception Assistant's role will be to answer telephone calls, screen calls, take messages and direct calls to appropriate personnel.


Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Greet visitors and guests arriving at the office
  • Handle inquiries and requests for information from the general public regarding shows, events and other related items and direct individuals as appropriate
  • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality in regards to telephone calls and scheduled guest appointments
  • Sort and distribute internal and external mail, and incoming facsimiles
  • Call, arrange and prepare documentation for courier services
  • Ensure the reception area, common areas and board rooms are presentable at all times
  • Ensure the availability of drinking water, coffee, and tea for CNE staff and visitors
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and control of all office supplies
  • Other administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, mailing and printing as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • You are selfmotivated and detailoriented, with strong customer service skills.
  • Organized, professional, friendly, and customer service oriented
  • Good multitasking and time management skills
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Problemsolving skills and capacity to deal with ambiguity
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required
