    Design, perform, analyze, and summarize polymer electrolyte characterization experiments.
    • Assist in the development of QA/QC methods and procedures for polymer electrolyte systems.
    • Investigate failure modes of polymer electrolytes.
    • Assess and refine methods for processing and handling both thermoplastic and thermoset polymer systems.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems.
    • Maintain a dedicated focus on validating product designs and refining manufacturing processes with a strong sense of urgency.
    • Work within a project team environment and coordinate work with other project disciplines.
    • Maintain and organize all project-related documentation.
    • Work independently and make technical decisions.
    • Draft and execute study plans, verification/validation protocols.
    • Understanding relevant IP and competitive landscapes, while generating new IP.Skills & Qualifications
      A graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or related discipline. Experience in root cause analysis and FRACAS as it pertains to failed materials. Experience with hands-on experimentation, and computer-aided measurements, in a chemical laboratory environment. Proficient in materials, surface/interface characterization techniques (i.e. electrochemical testing methods, EIS, TGA, SEM, EDX, XPS, FT-IR, UV-vis absorbance, etc.) In-depth understanding and effective use of statistical methods and analysis. Attention to detail while maintaining the ability to multi-task and manage project timelines. Integrity, professionalism, and overall commitment to excellence. Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills. Strong problem solving and critical thinking ability.

    Nice to haves:
    Experience in electrochromic window, solar cell, or battery technology and/or manufacturing.
    • Experience in polymer physics, rheology, polymer film deposition, and characterization.
    • Experience with statistical design of experiments (DoE).Work Schedule and Compensation:
    • Ability to work full-time on-site at our Olympic Village facility.
