Job Summary

What is the opportunity?


In this position, you will be a key member of the Investor Services Strategy team and will partner with a broad variety of stakeholders to help develop, articulate and execute on RBC Investor Services' strategy.

You will work with a team to deliver analysis to support decision-making and financial planning in the business. You will play an active role in identifying, analyzing and addressing strategic opportunities for RBC Investor Services.


What will you do?

  • Conduct financial analysis and modelling which is critical in determining strategic outcomes
  • Analyze asset servicing industry themes, competitive positioning, market attractiveness, competitor profiles and performance results
  • Synthesize data from internal and external sources (including industry periodicals, press releases, etc.) to help draft strategic documents
  • Prepare materials and presentations for senior management
  • Work with a team to support the Chief Operating Officer of RBC Investor Services on adhoc strategic requests.
  • Work closely with IS' partners (such as Finance, Technology & Operations and Human Resources) in support of strategic objectives

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree in business or commerce
  • 2+ years' experience in investment banking, business strategy, advisory, financial planning & analysis or similar roles
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry (nicetohave: asset services industry)
  • Analytical mindset and experience in financial modeling
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience preparing materials and presentations for executive audiences
  • Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams
