Job Summary
What is the opportunity?
In this position, you will be a key member of the Investor Services Strategy team and will partner with a broad variety of stakeholders to help develop, articulate and execute on RBC Investor Services' strategy.
What will you do?
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling which is critical in determining strategic outcomes
- Analyze asset servicing industry themes, competitive positioning, market attractiveness, competitor profiles and performance results
- Synthesize data from internal and external sources (including industry periodicals, press releases, etc.) to help draft strategic documents
- Prepare materials and presentations for senior management
- Work with a team to support the Chief Operating Officer of RBC Investor Services on adhoc strategic requests.
- Work closely with IS' partners (such as Finance, Technology & Operations and Human Resources) in support of strategic objectives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Undergraduate degree in business or commerce
- 2+ years' experience in investment banking, business strategy, advisory, financial planning & analysis or similar roles
- Knowledge of the financial services industry (nicetohave: asset services industry)
- Analytical mindset and experience in financial modeling
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience preparing materials and presentations for executive audiences
- Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams
