Position Summary:


The Scientific Communications Associate provides scientific support to the medical team on a variety of medical projects and will be an active member of the Dupixent medical affairs team and cross functional brand team.


The Scientific Communications Associate will assist in:

developing medical tools, execution of scientific communications (manuscripts, posters, congress planning), planning/logistics of advisory boards, planning/execution of educational programs, and advancement of other medical projects to support medical affairs team activities for the brand.


Key Responsibilities:


Patient Focus

  • Work closely with Medical Advisors to identify patients' unmet medical needs and the evolution of the patient journey within relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Support development of an optimal scientific communication platform to integrate the needs of patients and the business.

Market and Medical Environment

  • In collaboration with Medical Advisor, monitor the external landscape and identify new and changing trends in therapeutic area.
  • Gather and interpret customer insights and propose options to translate into medical strategy.
  • Serve as a scientific resource to internal customers and keep abreast of scientific literature/clinical data relating to therapeutic area
  • Support development/execution of medical advisory boards to capture customer insights.
  • Support Medical Advisors in the development of digital strategies and tactics for differentiating Sanofi Specialty Care from its competitors.

Stakeholders management

_I__nternal _**- Supports implementation of various tactics from the Canadian Medical Plan>

  • Coordinates activities with the brand Medical Director, Medical Advisors, MSLs and cross functional partners.

_ External _

  • Supports Medical Advisor in identifying and closing the care gaps related to the optimal use of Sanofi Specialty Care products through external partnerships within the healthcare system.
  • Attend/participate in National/regional and major related therapeutic area conferences as needed.

Key Requirements:


  • First Level University degree minimum, (MSc, PhD, PharmD, or MD an asset).
  • 12 years of Medical Affairs experience.
  • Strong knowledge of immunology therapeutic area.
  • Project management experience.
  • Results oriented.
  • Strategic agility.
  • Communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Scientific and business acumen.
  • Ability to critically appraise scientific data.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.

Travel:


  • Approximately 510% of the time with occasional weekend travel.

Languages:


  • Written and spoken English and French a definite asset.
