Purpose
The Manager will lead the strategy, development, and operations for Global Business Payments (GBP) and Business Banking's business intelligence solutions.
This includes working with Technology, Data Office and Data Engineering teams to source data and deliver business intelligence and analytics consumption to end users via reports, visualizations and self-serve reusable datasets.
The role is highly technical and requires expert knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform stack including Power BI and Automate.
Solid skills and experience with data management and governance are also required.
The incumbent possesses strong technical, financial, and analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate to a broad audience.
The incumbent also possesses leadership skills as well strong knowledge of the Business Banking and Global Business Payments' products, services, and operations.
Accountabilities
- Ownership over the endtoend Power Platform Solutions for Global Business Payments and Business Banking.
- Part of a team that develops high quality business intelligence and reporting experiences by working directly with business stakeholders, product owners, sales, and relationship managers
- Manage training and day to day inquiries end users including training, experience support and escalate to Global Technology Services (GTS) where required.
- Act as a centre of excellence for Business Banking and Global Business Payments employees
- Turn data into insights by identifying new revenue opportunities, reduced costs and improved operational efficiencies
- Captures and reports key performance metrics (KPIs and sales scorecards) for Global Business Payments
- Integrates end user experiences with Salesforce and other Scotiabank ecosystems where necessary
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
- Work in alignment with Customer Insights, Data & Analytics (CID&A) including GBM and Business Banking Analytics teams and Data Office partners, GBM Client Insights, Commercial Banking Analytics and Small Business Analytics teams
Education & Experience
- Experience with big data technology
- Undergraduate degree in quantitative or STEM discipline
- Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships across many diverse stakeholder groups (including Senior Executives)
- The incumbent should be able to work in a fast paced and energized environment, deal with tight deadlines, solve complex problems, and balance conflicting priorities.
