Job Description:

We are seeking a social media professional to join our organization as a Manager, Social Media, based in Toronto, Canada.


Working closely with the entire Public Affairs & Communications team, who are located across Toronto, London, New York and Hong Kong, the individual in this position will be responsible for managing and maintaining our social media platforms, content management and production, reporting programs to communicate the performance of these and acting as a partner to colleagues across the organisation, particularly within Public Affairs & Communications.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure that social media content aligns with wider initiatives regarding content strategy and the Fund's strategic efforts and mandate.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest social media platform updates and trends and educate others across Public Affairs & Communications. Act as a strategic partner and advisor to colleagues in Public Affairs & Communications.
  • Produce and manage content that connects to our diverse mix of stakeholders and audiences.
  • Analyze social media metrics and use data to inform and improve social media strategy.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis of social media metrics to report across colleagues, including to Managing Directors and other senior colleagues.
  • Take on community management responsibilities where necessary, engage with the community, manage enquiries and feedback and align with colleagues in Public Affairs & Communications.
  • Program videos, imagery, other multimedia, written copy and other content on the social platforms. Produce and edit shortform video and edit photographic images.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience managing and growing social media platforms for a website or brand experience managing social media platforms for both business and consumer audiences is preferred.
  • Proven experience producing content; multimedia and written copy.
  • Able to thrive in a fastpaced environment and exhibit flexibility and adaptability to change, with a desire to learn and develop skills in financial and investment communications.
  • An eye and understanding for what resonates on social and the ability to distinguish from platform to platform.
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices and experience creating engaging content.
  • Strong analytical skills and results orientated, with strong experience using data to inform social media strategy (and report to individuals without a social media expertise).
  • Should have a collaborative approach and actively contribute to joint projects and initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under tight deadlines.
